B-Zakłady Magnezytowe 'ROPCZYCE' S.A. is the most modern and largest manufacturer of basic refractories in Poland, as well as one of the largest companies in the refractory branch in Europe. Since 1997 it has been a joint-stock company quoted on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The company applies a Quality Assurance System according to the international EN ISO 9001:2000 standard in the area of designing, manufacturing and supplying of basic refractory materials. It has also implemented and applies the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

Within the 35 years of our activity we have specialised ourselves in supplying refractories for iron and steel industry.

We are a constant supplier of refractory materials for 350 mt converters in Mittal-Arcelor Group (Katowice Steelplant) and 160 mt converters in Mittal-Arcelor Group (Sendzimir Steelplant in Cracov). Our materials achieve excellent performances in numerous electric arc furnaces with capacities from 3 to 140 mt, e.g. in Czêstochowa and CELSA Ostrowiec Steelworks in Poland, in Severstal – Cherepovetz in Russia, Trinec Steelworks in the Czech Republic, as well as in LSW Meitigen, MSW Trier and Saarstahl in Germany. Our products are also used in hot metal mixers in the Częstochowa, Mittal-Arcelor Group Poland (Sendzimir Steelplant in Cracov) and in Rautaruukki Steel Raahe in Finland. Our materials are very successful in RH degassers in Mittal-Arcelor Group (Katowice Steelplant), Trinec Steelworks in the Czech Republic, US Steel Kosice in Slovakia and SSAB Luleå in Sweden.
